Sunday Pottering
Today was just the sort of home day I had been craving. I went to the early church and then spent the rest of the morning cooking and being blissfully domestic. I made this cauliflower herb thing, which I quite like but it’s quite strong in flavour, plus a heathlh banana bread and some mulled wine. Yes definitely not the time of year for mulled wine, but I had bought the spice in the German Spice shop in Melb and just felt like trying it out. And the shop lady said you could chill the spiced wine in summer which is exactly how I’m going to drink it...in very small doses, it’s also a bit strong in flavour.
In the afternoon we moved the two ornamental pear trees in the front yard. The new side fence and front fence are going in in a couple of weeks (I can’t wait!) and I had planted the trees right on the boundary line. Poor things were really struggling so we hope they improve in their new spots. I wasn’t quite as vigorous as usual, but my dear husband hacked through the hard soil.
And the dear Kitty cat provides Tim such joy. Look at this...

Miss Sadie has started school this year. Not sure if it’s related or not...but she has suddenly learnt to climb. Right up on the dining table, and she was attempting the piano at one point.
