The Good Shepherd

I’ve enjoyed going to the Warradale church with Marianne, Eloise and Finn.  They have a craft table near the front for the little ones during the service. Here are the sheep we made...

Oh what delightful weather

April weather has just been sensational (except for the one weekend I was running in Canberra and it was blowing a gale!). It had been sunny and dry and warm and the colours of the day have been vivid. We’ve done a lot of pottering in the garden, and a lot of family time. Little baby Finn is growing, he’s full and happy, and gurgling and alert, watching his sister and world go by. Eloise is just a delight. Such a happy little girl. She reminds her mum not to forget the baby when they go out 😊. But she has a stubborn streak which cracks me up, but can imagine it exasperates her parents.  Marianne is almost ready to use the cot for Finn but Eloise won’t transition to the toddler bed despite an elaborate chart and reward system which she understands. Anyway, Marianne asked Giselle to ask Eloise “to sleep in the bed like a big girl, that it used to be her bed, that Sophie now sleeps in a big bed” etc. Giselle kept reminding her all the way out to the car when we left Grandma’s, and th...

Mean people...

So I’ve had a torrid couple of days at work...the pays didn’t get released on Tues night (and it was my fault, but regardless it could have been anyone from the tram, still my responsibility...) and it was made even worse by the fact that yday was a public holiday so the ripple effort was terrible.  Anyway, I’m still blown away by how horrible people can be...emailing their complaint and cc’ing the world. It is nothing in the scheme of things, no one is hurt or died. Their money arrived. Anyway, the day was cheered up with a visit to Grandma. I love this photo...we each have a happy healthy child on our arms, and lots of love and care for each other.

Got to love autumn weekends...

Wow the last two weekends have been divine! Could not have asked for better weather. I think I may have changed thinking Autumn is now my favourite season.  Easter weekend was mostly spent at home. I had gardening projects to tackle, and had fallen out running a couple of days before so was feeling a bit sore in places, in particular a swollen right hand and cut lip. Went to Good Friday church service with Marianne and her poppets, was lovely to catch up properly with her and hang about with the children. So enjoyable watching Eloise tuck into her lunch. We got the stones in around the shower, still need to get more, but the landscaping is taking shape. Four little fruit trees were planted along the inside of the new front fence, strawberry guava, 2 pomegrantes and a loquet. We’d bought a manual hole digger which was so much easier to use, but had to give up on Sunday after my hand got too sore.    Tim got the new camper out and we packed as much in there as we could. Rob...
