Day 2 Innamincka Trip
After stopping at Leigh Creek, we started on the Strezlecki Track. It travels from Lyndhurst to Innamincka, it’s mostly dirt/gravel and pretty bumpy. Very arid countryside with little wildlife at all, not even any birds.

The campsite for the night was at Montecollina Bore, a man made bore back in 1903, with surrounding water holes. Pretty amazing spot, camping in dunes in the middle of nowhere. You think you should walk to the top of the dune and see the ocean laid out before you.
After the usual debate about the best spot to camp (it was blowing a gale again), and the camper set up (and checked all the beer had remained in their cans and the toilet/medicine box hadnt dislodged and rolled everything throughout the camper), I went out for a late run. The others had a good laugh at me lying in the hot water bore which was only about 20cm deep, but worth it! At least the other couple of campers around were too busy with the sunset!
