Friday shopping
Just settling in on a Friday night. The football is on in the background, electric blanklet is warming the bed, electric throw rug is heating my lap, Tim is in heaven with the puss cat purring on his lap after he has fed her a conconction of sardine and dry food, the heater is whirring in the background...and the fridge is bursting after a shop at the market.

Yes I think we’re into winter mode. Boots, gloves and jackets are out now. Although it hasn’t been too cold yet. I am thankful for the sunny April and May we had though.
I’ve started finishing work at 3pm on a Friday which is just glorious. I get home in time to do the supermarket shop (which isn’t much these days, mainly coke, milk, bread, marg, jam, quick rice, bin bags and tuna/sardines). Then it’s off to the market for the rest of the shop, getting fruit/vege, meat, taking my reusable containers to the soap shop for detergents etc. I’ve put in a request for a two-tier shopping trolley for Christmas. I’m usually overloading the current one, and battling with the correct layering of purchases so as not to squash the soft fruit.
So I’m catching up before the weekend rolls in. Last weekend was the first weekend of the winter Masters running. I really enjoy these Sat afternoons. This day was great as the run was in the park next to Marianne’s house so I got to say hello to her family, have a good chat and a cuddle with Finn. Then Giselle came over for a “Nailed It or Failed It” cake decorating activity. She has been watching a tv show and the contestants have to decorate an elaborate cake to match the one on display. We just did it with little cupcakes I had made but it was fun to hang out together.
On Sunday it was church, Bunnings, loads and loads of washing (catching up from being away), and some gardening.
