Weekend delights

I think this might be the first time I've actually posted a blog using my laptop/computer.  I'm procrastinating, got 4 baskets of washing to put away and/or iron.  Today has pretty much been a home catch up day.  Tim had to work a 12 hour day yesterday (annual shut down of the building) plus he's got a cold, so he was pretty exhausted when he got home last night.  I had a Lutheran Church of Australia Finance meeting all day.  Lauren and Sadie popped in for an easy KFC chip dinner and catch up.  It was easier last night than today, as Fathers Day meant that they had the Hookings clan around.

So today I did a 10km fun run with my friend Patricia at Carisbrook Reserve, Salisbury.  Had a great morning doing something different.
Then I got stuck into the food preparation for the week ahead.  Boiled eggs for Tim's breakfast, home made yoghurt, soaked and boiled beans with tuna for Tim's lunchs and smoko, cauliflower, broccoli blitzed salads with parsley, avocado for my lunches, fruit and chia seed pots.  Plus a goat curry cooking behind me.  And baked almond biscuits.

And the darling man himself enjoying his sardines on toast for lunch.

We pottered on the garden last weekend, it was such delightful weather.  However we were both feeling a bit cold and tired to do anything today.  Tim did the lawns though and the blossoms and leaves are starting to bud on all our fruit trees which is exciting.

And I went to church with this little poppet last Sunday.  Eloise enjoying adding more and more flags to her clay heart...flying the flag of joy for Jesus.
